Acceptance
Fair Notice (fairnotice.ca) operates this site. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What the site is
Fair Notice provides an educational severance calculator and aims to list employment lawyers who act for dismissed employees. See the legal disclaimer for what the site does not do, including that it is not legal advice, not a law firm, and not a lawyer referral service.
Acceptable use
- Don't scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract directory content for resale or republication.
- Don't send us false or defamatory information, including in a request about a listing.
- Don't attempt to interfere with the site's operation, including by circumventing rate limits or automated abuse controls.
Directory content
Any directory listings are compiled from firms' own public websites, as described in how we list firms. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate and current, but we don't guarantee that every listing is complete, current, or error-free. If you find an error, please email info@fairnotice.ca.
No warranty
The site, the calculator, and the directory are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Calculator estimates are educational only and are not a prediction of any actual entitlement or outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fair Notice is not liable for any decision made in reliance on information from this site, including a calculator estimate or a directory listing. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version and date above reflect the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, including the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
